Our Residential Dog Training, based in Leicestershire, differs to the boot camps you have seen on TV! As we don’t require the owner to be present during the training. Timing and consistency are key elements as are body language, voice and general confidence. We do not use treats.
We are able to train your dog in the environments causing the problems - which is essential as part of our successful training method.
We adapt our training to each dogs character and disposition as dogs can vary in temperament so much. I will work with your dog on the areas which you feel are most important and need the most work.
For most dogs depending upon the issues, I would suggest two to six weeks of training is required.
This course can be just for some basic obedience training. For dogs that have any kind of behaviour issues. For dogs that are dog or human aggressive. Or dogs that need socialisation.
This is an intensive and specialised. Outcomes are variable depending upon the severity of the issues and how long the dog has been exhibiting the behaviour for.
The outcome will always depend on how consistent the owners are after the training period.
I don’t believe in training with treats. I train through consistency and repetition and of course with my well balanced pack. Your dog will learn to understand between right and wrong.
Your dog will feel at ease with me and with my well balanced pack.
The intensive training programme is suitable for
All breeds of dogs Aggression towards dogs and or humans Dogs with fear or anxiety of any sort Dogs requiring proper socialisation General bad manners Pulling on the lead/ recall training
Training will be outdoors, beginning with a few distractions, progressing to more advanced sessions with a variety of natural distractions. Much of the training will be done on Bradgate Park in Leicestershire. But we also train in town, pubs, our home, in groups of different dogs.
Your dog will learn
Sit, sit/wait Walk to heel on a loose lead Recall Social obedience Controlled greeting with a dog / person Door control General socialisation
The course cannot promise to cure all aggression it can help to build a foundation for conditioning the future behaviour of your dog and give you the skills to manage it.
As with all of the courses, this requires a large commitment from yourself for a change.
Dog Handler Tuition The handler tuition (YOU)! can take place during or at the end of your dogs stay. Timing will be discussed during booking. I like to fully discuss and demonstrate all techniques and training methods. I want you to go home comfortable and confident in handling your dog.
My Residential dog training package is designed to put the groundwork into place, what ever the reason for your dogs stay.
You must be willing to continue with your dogs training at the end of the course.
